Help is Here: Resources Available Following The Northeast Plane Crash
On Friday, January 31st, a medical evacuation jet crashed in the Northeast neighborhood of Philadelphia. The crash left a child patient, her mother, four others aboard the plane as well as one victim on the ground dead.
On Friday, January 31st, a medical evacuation jet crashed in the Northeast neighborhood of Philadelphia. The crash left a child patient, her mother, four others aboard the plane as well as one victim on the ground dead, over twenty victims injured, many houses and businesses destroyed or damaged, and an entire neighborhood rattled.
Following the initial response from the City, Mayor Cherelle Parker hosted a Town Hall to update the neighborhood on resources that remain to support those affected by this tragedy.

Mental Health Assistance
If you or someone you know is having a hard time coping, the city of Philadelphia is offering mental health assistance and services through the Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disability Services. Call 215-685-6440 or go to DBHIDS.org.
Business Assistance:
If you are a business owner who is having trouble staying open due to the ongoing crash investigation and restoration, the City has resources to help. Call the Department of Commerce's Mayor's Business Action Team at 215-683-2100 or email at business@phila.gov
Property Damage Assistance
If you’ve experienced damage to your property, contact the American Red Cross to report it at 1-800-Red-Cross or go to RedCross.org to get further information.
Utilities Assistance:
While power was previously shut down for hundreds of homes in the affected area, it is now being restored. If you still need help call PECO's emergency line at 800-841-4141 or report at PECO.com
Real Estate Tax Adjustment
If you’ve experienced damaged or destroyed property, you might qualify for Real Estate Tax Adjustment.
