Many products marketed to Black people have a history of toxins and dangers, but finding out that many popular braiding hair brands also contain cancer-causing toxins felt like a whole new betrayal.
It is a betrayal that is felt across the community. It’s a betrayal not just for braid wearers, but also braid stylists. Our elders wear these styles.. Our children wear these styles.
